How the Management Fee works

How the Management Fee works

Short answer: when your finance is approved, a Management Fee – usually 10% of the approved amount – is deducted and the rest is paid to a bank account in your name. Some hospitals/clinics credit all or part of the fee against your treatment price; please ask your hospital/clinic coordinator.

What is the Management Fee?

When your finance is approved, a Management Fee – usually 10% of the approved amount – is deducted, and the rest is paid to a bank account in your name. The fee and the amount to be paid to you are set out in your finance link email, and the fee, the amount to be paid to you and the expected payment date are confirmed in your approval email.

Example

Approved amount£5,000
Management Fee (10%)£500
Paid to your bank account£4,500

Figures are illustrative. Your own figures are set out in your approval email.

Applied before choosing a hospital?

If you applied through our website without naming a hospital or clinic, you can use the Management Fee as a deposit at an FHG partner within 3 months of your approval email:

  1. Choose an FHG partner hospital, clinic or agency from the partner list in your approval email.
  2. Show your approval email and quote your reference number.
  3. The partner applies the deposit to your treatment price.

The offer can be used once, by the named patient only. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred and does not apply to hospitals, clinics or agencies that are not FHG partners.

Applied through a partner’s link?

If you applied through a link sent by an FHG partner hospital, clinic or agency, the partner credits the Management Fee against your treatment price in line with your quotation.

Is the fee refundable?

Once the lender has approved your finance and you have signed the Finance Agreement, the Management Fee is non-refundable, whether or not the payout to you has been made, including if you cancel your treatment or ask for a refund (see our Refund Policy). Your statutory rights are not affected.
