About Finance Health Group

Is Finance Health Group a lender?

No. Finance Health Group Ltd is a credit broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 915721). Your finance agreement is made directly with the finance provider. Finance Health Group US Limited, its Appointed Representative, coordinates treatment referrals and payments with partner hospitals and clinics.

Which finance providers do you work with?

Depending on your country, finance is provided by established providers including Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Zip and Scalapay. The provider available to you is shown on the Eligible Countries page.

Which countries can apply?

Residents of more than 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, the Nordic countries, Australia, New Zealand and most of Western Europe. The full list, with maximum amounts and terms for each country, is on our Eligible Countries page.

Applying

How does the application work?

Your partner hospital, clinic or agency sends you a secure finance application link by email. You complete the application with the finance provider, who makes the lending decision. Once approved, your treatment can go ahead.

Will applying affect my credit score?

When you apply with the finance provider, it will carry out its own credit assessment, which may include a search recorded on your credit file. The provider will tell you before it does so.

How long does a decision take?

Finance providers give an instant decision in most cases once your application is complete. Occasionally a provider may ask for further information before deciding.

How much can I borrow and for how long?

Limits and terms vary by country and provider. In the United Kingdom, for example, finance is available for up to £5,000 over up to 24 months. See the Eligible Countries page for your country.

Costs

Is there interest?

Some providers offer interest-free instalments; others charge interest. The provider will show you the exact cost, including the APR, before you agree. Representative example for the UK: borrowing £5,000 over 24 months at a representative 21.9% APR (fixed), 24 monthly repayments of £254.40, total amount payable £6,105.60.

What is the Deposit Fee?

When your finance is approved, a Deposit Fee, usually 10% of the approved amount, is applied towards your agreed treatment package at the partner hospital or clinic and covers the costs of arranging and administering the finance. It is not an extra charge on top of your treatment price; it is deducted from the treatment price. Once the finance has been approved and accepted and the payment process has been completed, the Deposit Fee is non-refundable. Full details are in Clause 3 and Clause 8 of our Terms and Conditions.

Treatment and refunds

How does the money flow once my finance is approved?

Example for the United Kingdom: you are approved for £5,000. The Deposit Fee of 10% (£500) is deducted and applied towards your agreed treatment package; the net payout of £4,500 is transferred to your bank account, and you pay it directly to the partner hospital or clinic. The clinic treats the £4,500 you pay plus the £500 Deposit Fee as payment towards the full £5,000 treatment package. You repay the finance provider, not Finance Health Group or the clinic: 24 monthly repayments of £254.40 at 21.9% APR representative (fixed), total amount payable £6,105.60. The provider confirms the exact figures before you sign. Any balance of the treatment price above the net payout is agreed directly with the clinic.

What happens if I cancel or change my treatment?

Refunds of the treatment price are handled directly between you and the partner hospital or clinic under its own terms. The Deposit Fee is non-refundable once the finance has been approved and accepted and the payment process has been completed. See our Refund Policy.

Does a treatment refund cancel my finance agreement?

No. Your finance agreement with the provider remains in place until the balance is repaid or settled. You may have a statutory right to withdraw from a regulated credit agreement within 14 days; the provider will explain how.

Does Finance Health Group provide the medical or dental treatment?

No. Treatment is provided by the independent partner hospital or clinic you choose. We do not provide clinical services.

Support

How do I make a complaint?

Email info@financehealthgroup.com or write to us. We will respond within 8 weeks. If you are in the UK and not satisfied with our final response, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. See our Complaints page.

Is my finance agreement regulated in the UK if my treatment takes place abroad?

If you are a UK resident and your agreement is with a UK-authorised finance provider, it is a regulated consumer credit agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and FCA rules, wherever the treatment takes place. Finance Health Group Ltd's credit broking is itself regulated by the FCA (FRN 915721). Residents of other countries enter into an agreement with a provider authorised in their own country, under that country's law. See our guide for UK residents financing dental treatment abroad.

Can I repay my finance early?

Yes. Under a regulated UK credit agreement you have the right to settle early, in full or in part, and the provider must reduce the total cost of credit accordingly. Providers in other countries set out early repayment terms in your agreement. Contact your finance provider directly to request a settlement figure.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Missing payments can lead to fees from the finance provider, may be recorded on your credit file and could make future credit harder or more expensive to obtain. If you think you may struggle to pay, contact your finance provider as early as possible; UK providers are required to treat customers in financial difficulty fairly and to consider options such as a payment plan.

I run a hospital, clinic or medical travel agency. How do I become a partner?

Visit our Partner page or email info@financehealthgroup.com. Partners can offer finance options to international patients without carrying the credit risk themselves.
